Art Nouveau Mirror
A circular mirror within a border inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, in hues of green and teal. Materials include ceramic tile, discarded crockery and broken car window with a sweet wrapper collage below. The central mirror is also upcycled, and has a tiny, tiny scratch, but it doesn’t deflect from the overall piece. Made on a discarded MDF kitchen unit, edged in tile, with a sturdy fixing on the reverse.

Artisan Process
Working with views over the river Earn and hills beyond, Katy is frequently inspired by this landscape, which is reflected in her mosaics. Flowers in abundance feature in much of her works.
Recycled materials inspire and stimulate many of her ideas, including broken china, where she knows the provenance of each tile, creating a traditional patchwork concept.
