Impermanence 1
Abstract artwork created over a distressed base to convey the effects of decay from my studies of Wabi Saba where everything in nature and life is impermanent, imperfect and incomplete. My personal inspiration for the effect is a response to the state of aging revealing material below. Some have expressed alternative reactions however there is no correct response, it's down to the individual viewer. Oil painting on 12mm board protected with light coat of satin varnish presented in open waxed timber frame.

Dave is a photographic artist with a passion and love for vintage analogue photography. His work includes working with film and various alternative printing techniques.
The wet plate process due to the alchemy used is prone to creating effects unique to each individual plate which will enhance less defined images.
